Often described as a racing car for the road, this GT3 looks and sounds the part. Easy on the eye with the distinctive Porsche front end, wheels hugged tightly into the arches and a final flourish from the even bigger wing at the back. Inside the bucket seats, roll cage and racing harness seatbelts remind you of the power you’re about to unleash. The driving position is superb, sat low in seats that hug and hold you firmly in place, placing your hands perfectly onto the nicely proportioned steering wheel, everything feels in the right place. Simply one of the best performance cars out there.

With the GT3 Porsche have taken what they do best and distilled it even further to create a car that keeps on giving more power, more speed, more agility with what seems like no effort at all. The engine is simply tremendous and delivers an outstanding driving experience, which sounds stratospheric when it reaches the high revs. Getting the best from the engine is made easy for the driver with straightforward controls, a responsive PDK gearshift and firm steering. The reply is pleasingly immediate from the accelerator and behaviour as the speed builds is immaculate. At home on the road and the track, this sensational car is hard to beat.

With a 4.0L flat-six 469bhp engine, it has a top speed of 194mph and accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds.
